What to Expect:

Join us for this community event and explore your local shores while snorkelling.

Afterwards, join us for a complimentary visit to the Hag of Beara, close to our snorkelling site (Samhain special)

Learn more about safe snorkelling practises and how to discover marine life in West Cork, followed by some tea, refreshments and a quick visit to the Hag of Beara, learning more about Irish folklore.

We start with a 60-minute guided snorkel tour led by Cornelia Krausz (PADI-certified snorkel tour guide) and Lucy Taylor (marine biologist).

The snorkelling experience will include:

  • Going through snorkelling skills and safe practices when snorkelling (on land)

  • Pictures from you and the snorkel tour (free to use)

  • Marine life and seaweed & kelp exploration and discovery (and books for identification afterwards)

  • Mindful practices and supportive approach if you are a snorkel beginner

  • All gear you will need

  • Tea & snacks afterwards to warm up

  • Limited spots available. (14 yrs +)

The Kenmare Bay project is lead by Streamscapes and is kindly funded by the National Parks and Wildlife Service through its Peatlands and Natura Community Engagement Scheme
